- Run a spell-check. And for the love of God, spell your name correctly!

Web App Developer
Jolt Online Gaming is a developer and publisher of web-based browser games, located on Stephen's Green, Dublin, Ireland. We are recruiting web application developers to work on several high-profile games titles. These games are web applications that not only need to implement complicated and extensive game logic, but need to scale to accommodate large numbers of concurrent players. Over the next year we will be building new internal development teams, creating several new games based on well-known movies and brands, and will be publishing them both on dedicated websites and on Facebook.
Who we want
We are looking for people to whom computers and programming are both a job and a hobby. We work with new technologies, solving new and interesting problems. If you do not enjoy being challenged every day by your work, then this job is not for you. Conversely, if you want to work where you're no longer sure you're the smartest person in the room, then we can help!
In addition to experienced candidates we are willing to hire recent graduates, so long as they can demonstrate sufficient excellence in their college work or independent projects (e.g., contributions to FOSS projects).
Must haves
- Honours degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field
- Smart and gets things done
- Broad and deep understanding of computer science, programming languages, software engineering practices
- A solid understanding of databases and several programming languages
- Must work well in a team and be a clear communicator of ideas (both verbally and in writing)
Nice to haves
- Thorough knowledge of Python or Ruby
- Experience using web frameworks such as Django, Pylons or Rails to develop a web application
- Experience scaling a web application, or other n-tier application
- Experience running Linux, developing on LAMP stack
- A passion for games and an interest in online gaming
Remuneration
Based on experience. All hiring is subject to a 6 month probation period.
